Registration

  • A Vendor is defined as anyone who promotes a business or sells merchandise.
  • A Vendor is defined as anyone who promotes a business or sells merchandise.
  • Definitions: Exhibitor - anyone who represents a non-profit organization. Educator - anyone who plans to present educational materials.
    A limited number of booth spaces are reserved for Educators and Exhibitors. To register as an educator or exhibitor you must be approved by the festival committee and will then be given a registration code to complete the application.

I am an authorized representative of the applying organization and have read, understand and accept the terms set forth for participation in the North Carolina Paddle Festival.

By registering you affirm you are an authorized representative of the applying organization and have read, understand and accept the terms set forth for participation in the North Carolina Paddle Festival and you agree to complete and submit the Vendor Application by September 1, 2014

Vendor Rules and Policies 

  • Booth Fee is $250. for the distribution of information, membership sales, merchandise sales and taking of orders for later sale / mail order sales, etc.  Early Bird Fee and application is due by May 30, 2014.  If not accepted for a booth space, your fee will be returned in a timely manner. 
  • Food Vendors must provide a menu of items to be sold along with pricing.
  • A copy of your curren General and Product Liability insurance policy with a minimum $500,000 limit.  Please list Hammocks Beach State Park & Friends of the Hammocks & Bear Island and additional insured.
  • A limited number of booth spaces are available for non-profit and governmental organizations and must be approved in advance by the Festival Committee.
  • All items your organization wishes to sell or distribute must be approved by the festival Committee.  Sale or distribution of T-Shirts, beverages, food, or festival souvenir items is strictly prohibited.
  • All booth spaces will be assigned by the Festival Committee.  Organizations may not share or sublet their assigned space in whole or in part with any other organization or individual without prior written consent of the Friends of the Hammocks and Bear Island, Inc. 
  • Booths must be set up Friday and staffed from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM each day of the Festival.
  • Accepted organizations must provide all materials (tables, booths, chairs, shade tarps) and staff for their display. One table and 2 chairs will be provided by the Festival.  Booth spaces are at least 10’x10’ and all activities and displays of your organization must occur within this space.  Organization agrees to take full responsibility for protection of their belongings in the case of adverse weather and acknowledges that the Friends of the Hammocks and Bear Island, Inc. will not refund any fees in the case of adverse weather. 
  • Hammocks Beach State Park, The North Carolina Division of Parks and Recreation, The Friends of the Hammocks and Bear Island, Inc., their employees, agents, and representatives shall not be responsible for any loss, damage, or other injury to the organization, their employees, agents or representatives, or to any exhibit material or property of the same, whether caused by fire, flood, theft, act of GOD, accident, or any cause whatsoever.  Organization agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Hammocks Beach State Park, The North Carolina Division of Parks and Recreation, and The Friends of the Hammocks and Bear Island, Inc., their employees, agents and representatives from any and all such loss, damage claim, injury or other expense relating thereto.
  • Accepting organizations must abide by the rules and guidelines governing the Trash-Free aspect of the Festival. 
  • We reserve the right to refuse any applicant without cause.
