Great Backyard Bird Count

Join a ranger to count the birds in our backyard for the GBBC.

Hammocks Beach is a great location to see several bird species, from the ones that hide in the woods to those that swim our waters.

We have some binoculars and field guides to use; however you can bring your own if you have them! Meet at the Visitor Center.

In 2014, Great Backyard Bird Count participants in 135 countries counted nearly 4,300 species of birds on more than 144,000 checklists!
