This program prepares kids for kayaking through interactive fun activities. We will show how to properly size a kayak, paddle, and lifejacket. Instructors will cover the basic principles of coastal kayaking and prepare kids to be comfortable in the water. We will also go over safety and basic first aid. This program is on land and water and all equipment is provided.

Guided Kayak Trip
Come to the park and enjoy a two hour ranger-guided kayak trip through the surrounding marsh waters of Hammocks Beach State Park. This is a great opportunity to discover some of the wildlife that call coastal North Carolina home. Kayaks, paddles, and lifejackets will be provided. Space is limited, must be 13 and older to participate.
